Since opening her own design studio IP.YD in January, Greek designer Ira Petromanolaki has been busy designing yachts that have a real fluidity to their lines. In Q11 SYD presented her 56m Smew concept and IP.YD has now revealed a new, smaller 28m design featuring similar smooth curves: Vento 94.
Greek designer Ira Petromanolaki has send us his latest concept, superyacht i41, a minimalist and sporty 40.5-metre motoryacht. SuperYachtTimes.com spoke with Ira, who explains the concept; “The intention was to create a contemporary design that combines luxury and innovation”. Ira continues; “The concept’s fundamentals consisted of a yacht that could refer to motion. This guide line proceeded to a design with strong features and a dynamic appearance”.
Launched this year by designer Ira Petromanolaki, Athens-based yacht design studio IP.YD has hit the ground running. The studio’s latest concept is i41, an ultra-modern 40.5-metre motoryacht. This is an unapologetically contemporary design, minimalist with smooth curves and a sporty silhouette.
